Free DC Parks and Rec (DPR) Urban Master Composter Course

If you’re interested in learning more about all the ways to responsibly compost in the city registration is now open for the free DC Parks and Rec (DPR) Urban Master Composter Course this fall.  The DPR Urban Master Composter Certificate Course is a 10-class (30-hour) course, taught by multiple local urban composting experts, focused on training future compost leaders in DC in a variety of composting methods appropriate for urban environments.  This short course will focus 100% on multiple urban composting systems that are critter proof, sustainable, odor-free and functioning right now in DC.  Learn the best practices and knowledge to set up each of these systems in any DC environment from the people who are leading DC’s composting movement. This course is free and requires participants to attend all 10 classes. Failure to attend all 10 classes could result in being dropped from the course and not receiving a DPR Urban Master Composter certificate. There is a volunteer requirement that must be completed as well to receive the certificate. All class locations will be metro accessible or transportation will be provided. Please email joshua.singer@dc.gov with any questions.  Everyone must registrar at this link:
