Today, I visited homes in Clifton and Fairfax Station as part of Virginia’s Historic Garden Week. I took quite a few photos outside; we were not allowed to take photos inside the homes but there were many beautiful floral arrangements. Below are photos from a home in Fairfax Station and the owners are plantsmen so there is very good use of plants as well as a kitchen garden, chicken coop and horses. The inside of the home is very well decorated in the Federal style.
The photos below are from a home in Clifton and the owners use furniture and structures outside to add interest as well as beauty. This is a Georgian revival home with a country type garden.
